Paul Ryan … ¿Who?

http://www.mittromney.com/

A simple answer could be: a Republican Representative from Wisconsin. Another, a little more creative: He is the Chairman of the House Budget Committee.

Perhaps, if someone asks Mitt Romney – presumptive Republican party nominee for President - Ryan is the "next President of the United States", as he said to a crowd of followers gathered in Norfolk, Virginia, on Aug. 11.

Regardless of this faux pas, Romney´s running mate is a virtually unknown character. He has had a legislative career relatively long in relation to his age: he is 42 years old and has been stuck in Congress since 1998. However, he is unknown for many people.

In his official website, Ryan defined the DREAM Act as a "serious mistake".

Its position on immigration issues have been very, in fact, during a Town Hall Meeting, which took place in Paddock Lake, Wisconsin, in April 2011, Ryan qualifies as "anchor babies" those U.S. citizens whose parents are undocumented immigrants. His commentary went even further and lower, indicating the eventual possibility of modifying the text of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.

And taking the very same words of Ryan, at the close of his opening electoral speech, "What kind of country do we want to have?" and "What kind of people do we want to be?", these are my answers:

Do we want a country where progress to young people is denied, simply because of lacking 9 magic numbers?

Or perhaps, do we want to be against the Constitution?

The American people will decide. Voting will decide the type of country and the kind of leaders we will have.
