We live in a unique state. And that is the reason, Veritas Oklahoma exists.
Veritas Oklahoma is an online platform for investigation and reporting of political and social issues in Oklahoma from a Hispanic point of view.
Oklahoma is considered the reddest of
the red states in the nation.
Being a presidential election year, Veritas Oklahoma will play a critical role informing the Hispanic community.
The election process in the Heartland is quite different from any other state. Indeed, Oklahoma is so conservative that the Democrats themselves had a
primary election against President Barack Obama last March. And they were
not just tokens; the White House resident lost in 12 counties.
But the historic beating was in 2008, when John McCain took the state’s 77 counties and Obama did not win a single one.
The point is that in November, Oklahoma will be back in the national
arena, choosing from among two very different positions – assuming that
Mitt Romney will be the GOP’s candidate.
Oklahoma Veritas will be covering the entire process.
This is just the beginning. Thank you for reading Veritas Oklahoma,
